Government PolicyThe Nurture Group Network has a key role in influencing government policy across a wide range of issues to do with the healthy development of children. In many ways the ideas and practice of nurture groups reflect all the key government objectives for children set out in the outcomes required in Every Child Matters. If you study that document and think about the aims and purposes of nurture groups it is evident how they contribute to meeting the stated overall aims for children and in particular how they help to address the needs of some of the most vulnerable children in our society. The Nurture Group Network regularly responds to calls for submissions from both central government and other bodies looking for information or ideas about current and future policy development. The following are examples of these submissions and can be downloaded from the 'downloads' page of this website: Nurture groups support children's mental health; Submission to the Bercow Review on speech and language; The Primary Review; Back on Track.   LinksCore skills for children's workforceCommon strands for training across professional disciplines
